The following people are minor characters from Benidorm, listed in order of appearance.

Jack[]

Jack was a young man who fancied Janice Garvey. Jack constantly tries to seduce Janice but she makes it clear that she is not interested. He ignored Janice's warnings and continues to stalk her. Janice warns him that if he doesn't stop, then she will tell her husband, Mick. Jack says that Janice is the only woman for him and she gives in and kisses him as long as he promises never to talk to her again.

Jack is not seen again until the fifth series, when Janice bumps into him at the Solana. He pretends not to know her and befriends Trudy and her friend Sam Wood. Janice soon catches on that he is pretending and he reveals that he has moved to Benidorm with his friend Liam Conroy. Janice becomes extremely angry with him and he soon leaves, and Liam sees that he has been irritating Janice and demands the flat keys back. Jack refuses to give them back but Trudy smashes a bottle over his head and knocks him out. Liam and Trudy dump him in a rubbish bin and leave him. He returns in 2018 and attempts to seduce Sam Wood. Joyce Temple-Savage catches them and Joyce smashes a glass bowl over his head.

Gary Snelling[]

Gary Snelling, also known by the fake names Marcus Snelling and Marcus Hornby, is a con-man and criminal who robbed the Solana and conned many guests in Series 3. His secret lover and accomplice, Brandy, stole a staff door key from Mateo that opens all the doors in the Solana, and they use it to rob the guests. Troy Ramsbottom walks in on Brandy burgling his apartment, but Gary comes in behind him and they tie Troy to the hot water pipe and make off with his stuff.

Gary makes a return in Series 8 looking for a job at the Solana. He flirts with Joyce in order to get the job, and is very nearly successful, but then mid-flirting says that he merely needs proof of employment for a reason he doesn't reveal, and Joyce turns on him and orders him out. At that moment, Troy and Jacqueline appear and immediately recognise Gary, and Gary scarpers. Joyce gives the job to the other candidate, Amber.

Diana Weedon[]

Diana Weedon is the mother of Martin Weedon. She seems to dislike Martin's wife Kate Weedon. She first appears when she is spotted by Janice Garvey sat at the bar, as Janice says she is too poshly dressed to be at a hotel of such low quality as the Solana. Janice confronts Diane, and she says she is waiting to meet her son. Martin meets her and she takes them to a hotel at which she is staying. She attends a spanish dance which stars Mateo Castellano, to whom Diana is attracted. Kate forces Martin to leave Diana as Diana refuses to leave.

She refuses to acknowledge she has known Donald Stewart and Jacqueline Stewart, a married couple with swinging tendencies. Whilst leaving the Flamenco centre with Mateo Castellano, she is referred to as 'Dirty Diana' and makes a reference to being a swinger.

Wink McAndrew[]

"Wink" McAndrew was an old friend of Donald Stewart who checks in at the Solana. He greets Mateo with a handshake, but he has a home-made hand buzzer hidden in is hand, which gives Mateo a mild but painful electric shock. He constantly annoys the guests with his hand buzzer and other practical jokes. Things take a dark turn however, when he tells Donald's wife, Jacqueline Stewart, how his wife died, and the way Wink says it seems to imply that it was his fault that she's dead, and Jacqueline becomes frightened of him. When Jacqueline confides in Donald, he says he was told a different story of how Wink's wife died, and revealed there was a court case around it.

At Neptune's Bar, Wink goes to perform on stage, but when he grabs the microphone stand, his hand buzzer touches the metal of the stand and delivers him a massive electric shock, killing him instantly, much to the horror of the hotel manageress Janey York.

Lucky Kev[]

"Lucky" Kev lives in the caravan park where Madge Harvey used to live. He manages to retrieve belongings before her caravan is towed away. At the Solana, he warns Madge that Scary Mary is after her for money. After Madge's family beat up Scary Mary and her henchmen, he tries to get money from the Garvey's once again, which causes Madge to chase after him. He later works in a bar Madge acquired on the site of her late husband Mel's old mobility scooter shop, though this business soon folds.

Scary Mary[]

Scary Mary is the wife of a man that Madge Harvey owed money to. She arrives at the Solana looking for Madge, and Madge refuses to give her any money. Mary threatens Madge but Madge starts to fight Mary. Madge's daughter, Janice Garvey, tells her to stop as she is too old, but she ignores her. After Janice's family help beat up Mary's henchmen, Mary goes for Madge, but before she can get to her, Janice headbutts her with such force that Mary is knocked out, though Janice is also left badly hurt.

Mr Pink[]

Mr Pink was a local gangster who bought Madge Harvey's debt from Scary Mary's husband, meaning Madge now owed him €3,000. When two of his heavies turned up at the Solana looking for Madge, Lesley told them she wasn't there, but when they threatened to kill Madge, Mick phoned Mr Pink on a number the heavies left and agreed to meet up with him.

Madge and the Garveys met up with him at an old go-kart track. Mr Pink said he and Madge would race. If he wins, the debt doubles. If Madge wins, she doesn't have to pay a thing. Madge one-ups the deal and says if he wins they owe him $10,000, and if she wins, he owes her €3,000, which he shakes her hand on.

Ultimately Madge wins the race, but when she demands her money from him he pretends to have no memory of that deal, but as she leaves, Madge threatens to drag his name through the mud for going back on the deal, and he later sends her the money.

Kerry Bental[]

Kerry Bental is a friend of Sam Wood's who works at a local beauty salon in Benidorm.

Sam tricks Mateo Castellanos into receiving a free treatment from Kerry. When he arrives, Kerry gives him a violent waxing and hides his clothes. Mateo asks for his clothes back but she ignores him, and Mateo asks to use the shower, in the hope that she will give him a towel. Kerry shows Mateo to the supposed shower room, but it is in fact a fire escape door and Kerry pushes him out into the street with no clothes on. Mateo takes a pedestrian's hat to cover up and runs back to the Solana.

Her nickname at school was 'Mental Bental', after stabbing a cow during a school trip.

Barbara Simmonds[]

Barbara Simmonds is a famous author who comes to stay at the Solana Benidorm. Joyce Temple-Savage mistakes her for a hotel assessor. Simmonds gives Joyce a signed copy of one of her books. When the real assessor makes himself known and grades the Hotel three-star, Joyce bribes him with the book to increase this rating to four-star, as he happens to be a huge fan of Simmonds.

Herbert[]

Herbert, known affectionately by Kenneth as Uncle Bertie, was the head of the Hairdressing Mafia (Hafia for short), and an old friend of Kenneth's mother Brenda. He bought the lease for the Blow 'n' Go salon in Series 6, and charged Kenneth absolutely no rent.

In Series 8, it was revealed Herbert had died in a freak hair straightening accident. In his will, he left his chain of salons, including Blow 'n' Go, to his bouncer, Norman the Doorman.

Norman the Doorman[]

Norman Fagin, better known as Norman the Doorman, is Herbert's doorman, to whom he left his chain of salons after he died. Norman charged Kenneth a hefty rent in revenge for Kenneth refusing to take Norman on when they thought Kenneth was getting the salons, but Troy and Jacqueline later bought the lease for Blow 'n' Go from Norman.
